DR. KIMBERLY HARDY

Biography
Kimberly is the Second Vice President of the Democratic Women of North Carolina, PAC chair for Lillian’s List, a board member for the New North Carolina Project, and former President of the Democratic Women of Cumberland County.
Her statewide and Democratic Party work has focused on fostering partnerships between Democratic auxiliaries, improving pathways for women of color to be elected in battleground districts, and outreach to sporadic voters.
Her last legislative run was endorsed by over a dozen different policy and advocacy organizations, including groups working in labor protections, education funding, reproductive health, environmental and climate justice, youth and Asian American representation, and LGBTQ+ equality.
Dr. Hardy is an Associate Professor of Social Work with tenure at Fayetteville State University, where her research focuses on health disparities, faith communities, and equitable access to services. A proud HBCU alumna twice-over, Kimberly is an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated and regularly coordinates food and clothing drives.
